PERNAHKAH kamu mendengar istilah take and give? Istilah ini semacam konsep dalam menjalin hubungan yang seimbang. Apabila seseorang memberi, maka ia harus menerima imbalannya. Mungkin take and give akan terdengar lebih halus dibandingkan ungkapan tak ada yang gratis di dunia ini, semuanya harus di bayar!’ Begitulah kira-kira. Lalu, apakah dalam Islam konsep hubungan yang seimbang itu harus memakai rumus take and give? Coba kita lihat konsep infak’ dan shadaqah’ dalam Islam. Apakah si penerima infak harus membayar dengan sesuatu? Tentu tidak. Apakah si pemberi infak akan rugi jika hanya memberi tanpa menerima apapun? Kita semua tahu jawabannya. Saling memberi sangat dianjurkan dalam Islam. Tetapi saling mengharap imbalan dalam pemberian bukanlah ajaran Islam. Mungkin kita masih ingat hadis tentang memberi hadiah. “Saling memberi hadiahlah kalian niscaya kalian akan saling mencintai.” HR. Al-Bukhari Tentu saja saling memberi hadiah juga ada batasan syari’ahnya. Tidak semua pemberian itu baik dan boleh di terima. Pemberian yang bersifat sogokan atau semacamnya adalah haram. Seperti dalam kisah Nabi sulaiman AS dalam An-Naml 35-36. Nabi Sulaiman menolak hadiah dari Ratu Bilqis ketika sang Nabi mendakwahkan Islam kepada kerajaan Ratu Saba’. Hadiah itu di maksudkan untuk menolak ajaran sang Nabi, agar mereka tetap menyembah matahari. Begitulah indahnya hubungan yang dibangun karena Allah. Bukan karena ada maunya. Tak akan pernah ada kekecewaan karena tak pernah mengharapkan. Bukankah hal yang membuat kita kecewa adalah sebuah pengharapan yang tidak terpenuhi?
